Day One of the Nursery

step one

step two

Now that I am officially finished working (well, at the bank anyway!) I have started on the nursery. It took me all day today just to clear everything out, take down the shelves, and give the floor a good scrub. I've also applied the first layer of drywall compound (thanks Jan) to the MILLIONS of pin holes in the walls. Tomorrow I will still be fixing all the dents and dings in the walls and maybe on Wednesday I can start painting.

It's so nice getting ready for a new baby, isn't it? Have fun painting!

way to go Jen! I wouldn't be ambitious enought to clean, mud/paint a nursery at 8 months along. I'm finally painting my 'baby's' room now that she's 2.5 lol.

Such fun! I love painting/doing rooms, it's so fun to see the change in the end (unless of course, you happen to paint it a colour that drives you crazy when you try and decide what colour it truly is :) )

Let me know if you need help Jen - I owe you some painting!

You remind me of when I was 7-8 months pregnant with Josh. That's when I started doing the nursery too - I was up on the ladder texturing the ceiling with plater, patching up holes in the walls, painting, sewing curtains, etc. It was lots of fun, and gave me something to do to pass the time.

Way to go Jen! Good for you for doing it yourself too! Wow! I want to start doing Jordan's room too (Jordan and the new baby will be sharing a room for awhile until we can get the basement finished) but I know that Jason would not let me do that kind of stuff on my own (too worried that I might make a mistake). I hope that everything turns out the way that you want it too!
