A waiting game....

Since I've had a couple of questions and concerns regarding my due date I thought I would post what the midwives told me today. Unfortunately there is no sign of this baby!! She is measuring slightly larger than they would like, but because of her current position (her head is no longer engaged AT ALL) when they measure my uterus, they really are measuring the entire baby. So... Janet (the midwife) has booked my next appointment for Thurday the 22nd and she is quite certain that I will still be around to make it! On that Thursday they will book me an induction date for the following week. To make the situation a little more complicated the midwives have a "bottleneck" of women waiting to give birth, so if everything is good with my blood pressure and the baby I will be pushed down the list as far as priority in induction dates. Long story short, Janet told me not to be too surprised if I'm still pregnant in March.... but, I feel great and as long as the baby is healthy I really don't care when I go (I say this now...). And I might as well enjoy my last few weeks of solitude!
So... I don't think there will be any complications for driving to the Pro party together, Jannyne, and if I do miraculously go into labour before Saturday we'll get in touch with you. And I am also counting on being able to show up at Taun's on Tuesday night!

Glad that you are feeling pretty good and not too worried about when you are having your little one. The waiting game can be so nerve racking. You look great and can't wait to meet her. Are they guessing on her size?

That's too bad for you, but as long as you feel good and don't mind waiting. That baby girl of yours will come when she is ready. Enjoy your time of peace and quiet and being together just the 2 of you. Life changes when you have children, but it is definitely worth it!!

You've got a great attitude about this waiting time!! You're right -pamper yourself and enjoy your solitude. This time will soon be a "distant memory" and it won't be long before you'll be holding that little girl!! I'll still be hoping that we hear something sooner rather than later :o)
All the best,
Stacey

Glad to hear you are in good spirits! Hopefully you don't have to wait too long. Those poor midwives are swamped eh! I always wonder how their families cope with their carreer.

Oh Jen! You have such a great attitude about all of this right now! I would be so disappointed and upset! Good for you for keeping your head up high! I hope that you do not have to wait too much longer though. Hopefully you are able to enjoy your solitude as you so say and are able to pamper yourself as well!

I just deleted a very long winded comment :)...brings back memories of Aaralyn, the days seem like they were long but sounds like you're still keeping busy with friends so that's fun.

I can't see you going into March, Val thinks this wednesday, if you're still around tomorrow we'll try and put you into labour somehow, with a rousing game of settlers or something? lol
