By any other name would smell as sweet
As most of you know, Justin and I have had our baby name picked since September. When I went for my 20 week ultrasound we had a girl name picked out but we were still wavering on a boy name. Since we found out it's a girl we haven't really discussed the name very much, just assuming that we would both still want to use the name originally picked. Well, a couple of weeks ago I started to get a funny feeling about the name. I still liked the name, but it just didn't seem to be the name of our baby (strange, I know). I kept this to myself but it eventually really started to bother me. I told Justin what I was thinking and he had been thinking the same thing! And way back in July we had another name that we both liked, but had decided on name 'A'. So, for the last week every day I've been trying to decide... name 'A' or name 'B'. A couple of days ago Justin had decided on name 'B' as he's decided that name 'A' sounds too..... promiscuous (my word, not his) but I still wasn't convinced. Well, laying in the bath tub last night name 'B' finally just felt right to me. So long story short, the name is changed and we're both happy with it. I guess it's been a good thing that I'm over-due or else we may have made a big naming mistake! So now that I've got it all figured out, this baby can come!!!!

Nice to settle on a name - just in time. Maybe subconsciously that last detail is what you were waiting for and now labour will begin!! Wouldn't that be nice! We always have a couple names picked out and then we wait until he/she is born to see what name suits him or her more. Crazy eh?

That's a relief! Can't wait to hear the name you decided on. Are you going to share name A when your baby is born?
We had the same thing with Leah... she was going to be Leanna up until 3 days before she was born, and I was a week overdue with her too.
What's with the word verification? Were you getting spam?
Hope everything goes well with your labour and delivery - we'll be thinking of you, and anxiously waiting for the big news!
that's funny. names are hard. Rob loved the name Caleb and I agreed, so that was easy. Tiana was either Kezia or Tiana, and I picked Tiana (since Taunya comes from Tatiana)I didn't want a Tatiana so we just took the Tiana part. we didn't really have a good feeling about our boys name, so now we have other boys names in mind. that's good that you're at peace with your name now. good story Jen!
- see you tonight
Can't wait to hear the name you chose. I am a name freak. I will probably still look at baby names when I am 80 - lol. I got a great new name book to look through a while back that is sooo neat.
I must admit. We had a girls name picked for Alex and then someone used it 2 months before he was born. Then when we found out he was a boy and that made life easier. Second time around I had a girls name but it too was used and he came out a boy thankfully because we never settled on a girl name. Savannah Autumn Rose we settled on after we found out she was a girl and never did choose a boy name. Funny how things work out.
That is pretty funny, Melody was almost named Charity because we had something like that too in the end, but we stuck to the original...I still like Charity though..
Just a couple weeks ago Jason told me that he didn't like the name that we had picked out anymore and so we spent a lot of time trying to figure out another name. Thankfully we have another name picked out but it can be frustrating sometimes. Maybe this is the reason you haven't had the baby yet? God wanted you to have the perfect name picked out!
That's great you picked the name that you really wanted. When I was pregnant with Seth, we had another name chosen, but changed it when I was 7 months along. We have our names picked out for quite sometime now and are happy with them. Hopefully those whose babies that are born before our baby is won't have chosen the same name.
Looking forward to finding out your baby's name!
